Yin Yoga explores long held therapeutic asanas realising deep layers of contraction held in the connective tissue and stimulating the flow of the chi through the main 12 meridians that feed into all of our primary organs, inviting suppleness and flexibility into the physical body & restoring harmony & balance to the mental & emotional bodies.
Whilst cultivating Mindfulness; the art of neither withdrawing from nor identifying with whatever arises, physically, psychologically & emotionally.
Precautions: We do not recommended this class for people with herniated disks, chronic back pain, recent surgery, knee injuries or spinal stiffness from inactivity. Yin Yoga involves many forward bending postures seated on the floor which can aggravate the above conditions.
