Mind & Body Connection
In Yoga Therapy, we practice traditional Hatha Yoga postures and consciously engage the prana/life force within them through the nadis/energy channels, and explore the connection of our bodies and our minds.
Understanding that when our thoughts, believes and behaviours are misaligned from our true essence, that this blocks the flow of chi/prana through the channels, manifesting physically as tightness, rigidity and pain and eventually dis-ease.
In this practice we will learn how to tailor our yoga practice to meet our specific individual needs, moment to moment, physically, mentally and emotionally, through the changing seasons of our lives.
I incorporate the wisdom of the Five Elements; Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth and the congruent of these with each of the seasons of the Year, Meridian System of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Taoist Healing Arts of China and Japan, with traditional India Hatha Yoga.
